About Me

Chantel is a young multi-faceted broadcaster with fresh and innovative ideas. She specializes in sports, news and political coverage. Currently as the Carolina Hurricanes Pre-Game Show Host and Rinkside Reporter for Fox Sports Carolinas she creates and prepares content for the half hour pre-game show. Plus, each game she reports on player stories and game notes during play and timeouts, conducts live player and coach interviews and keeps fans engaged with intermission coverage. Chantel's work goes beyond what you see on screen; she also helps produce and plan each broadcast.

Before moving to Raleigh, NC, Chantel worked as the morning general news reporter at WGGB in Springfield, MA covering breaking news, local politics, crime, and finance along with a variety of other topics. In addition, she did feature stories and game coverage for the 'Inside the MLL' show on CBS Sports Network.

Her broadcasting career began in college as the NESN.com video reporter. She also hosted UNH athletic events on WBIN, and created features and online game coverage for Hockey East, a college hockey league. She has years of writing experience as a former reporter for the award-winning school paper, The New Hampshire and the UNH athletic department.

Chantel has covered the Deutsche Bank Championship, the Beanpot, NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey tournaments, a variety of All-Star games, the 2010 NH midterm elections, and the 2011 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
